Our staff will provide a safe and stimulating environment for your little Toddler. Toddlers are beginning to discover the world around them and enjoy a wide range of experiences that help them become confident little people. They are able to move around more independently and become active explorers.
Children at this age are starting to develop a sense of agency. They are learning to make choices and decisions, to influence events and to have an impact on one’s world. This is also a time of children asserting their independence. They want to do things for themselves and take pride in the accomplishment. Our educators foster the development of the toddler’s self-help skills providing them with opportunities to engage independently with tasks and play. Educators support children’s efforts, assisting and encouraging as appropriate.
Throughout the day Toddlers will enjoy a wide variety of stimulating activities, small and whole group interactions, free play and some quiet times.
The Toddlers room opens out onto a covered verandah where they can participate in activities such as play dough, finger painting and enjoying picnics in the fresh air with their friends and educators. The playground, which is shared with the little Kindy/ junior Kindy, especially designed with equipment such as swings, sandpit, climbing fort, cubby house and a bike track to encourage children to explore and have fun.
The room has change tables for nappy changing and accessible toilets to the children. Staff will discuss with you the appropriate time to toilet train your child and the best way that we can support you through this time.
